About Me
I graduated in December 2020 from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Communication. Currently, I am a 1L student at Texas Tech University School of Law. I hope to someday work in property and estate law utilizing both my legal degree and my technical communication skills in drafting and editing. I have spent many summers working as an administrative assistant with Harper Perkins Architects in Wichita Falls, TX; I have done research for Angela Eaton & Associates, LLC in Lubbock, TX; and I have interned with the Wichita County Public Defenders' Office in Wichita Falls, TX. Most recently, I spent 7 months working with Child Care Partners, a non-profit in Wichita Falls, TX, writing grants, designing graphics, and editing manuals.
I am very passionate about technical writing and editing. It requires a certain balance of fluidity and precision. I find great satisfaction in transforming something messy into something that is clear, functional, and most importantly accurate. My minor in undergraduate school was history. Being an architect's daughter, I am especially fond of historical restoration and preservation projects and would love the opportunity to be a part of one someday.
Outside of work, baseball is my favorite hobby. Going to Texas Tech Baseball games between classes and keeping score in my score book will always be one of my happy places. My brothers and I have a goal of visiting every MLB ballpark. So far, we have visited the stadiums for the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and the Colorado Rockies.
I hold my faith in high regard. I was raised in the Lutheran Church, and I have spent many summers volunteering at church camps and attending youth gatherings. In 2019, I was a Young Adult Volunteer at the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the summer of 2021, I taught a middle school Sunday School class at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wichita Falls, TX.
